Produktrezension: Gesichtscremes für Frauen -
Dr Barbara Sturm Molecular Cosmetics

A little while ago, I received an email from Dr Barbara Sturm - an internationally renowned specialist in rejuvenating aesthetic and cosmetic treatments. In August she launched her skin-care range - 'Molecular Cosmetics' on Net-a-Porter and very kindly offered me the opportunity to try her line. As a specialist in cosmetic medicine, Dr Barbara Sturm was inspired by her research into molecular medicine to create a beauty range that harnessed the power of natural ingredients.

Dr Barbara Sturm Face Day Cream - £132*

Molecular CosmeticsWith a face cream of this price, you'd expect miracles. Whilst this doesn't literally have a divine connection, it may as well have as in my opinion it's spectacular. This cream has a lightweight formula that's enriched with extract of Skullcap - a plant that's rich in anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties and is known to stimulate natural collagen production. I apply this every morning after I've cleansed (with the Barbara Sturm Cleanser - more on this soon) and before I apply my makeup. As it's so nourishing, there’s no need for any additional serums or eye creams and I find that this has great primer qualities as my makeup lasts far longer on my skin once I've used this. As with all products I try, this is perfect for those with sensitive skin.

Dr Barbara Sturm Face Night Cream - £140*

If the Day Cream wasn't already good enough, for me the Night Cream is better. This is a real overnight treat (of the highest degree) and has been described as a 'cell spa while you sleep'. It's an intensely moisturizing formula that harnesses the healing power of Purslane (a succulent) to reduce redness as well as Skullcap extract which stimulates your skins natural collagen production. I love this as it has a silky soft consistency which soaks in to the skin quickly and when I wake up in the morning my skin feels amazing. It's bright, plump, clearer and super soft - I quite literally look like I've had an overnight facial and my skin positively glows.

The only negative about these products is the fact that the price is so high that it limits who can use them. However, the good news is I'll be reviewing the cleanser and facial scrub from this line soon which retail at around the £40 mark so are far more accessible. For those that do have the disposable income to treat themselves to something extra special - or for something to put on the Christmas list, this comes with the highest of marks from me - I just hope I don't run out too soon!
